Housing Choice Voucher Program Required Documents

When an applicant's name comes to the top of the wait list, he/she will be contacted by RHE to schedule an interview and to provide RHE with the required documents included in a completed HCV Certification Package .

In order to be eligible to receive Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) subsidy, ALL adult members of the family (age 18 and older) must appear at the scheduled RHE initial meeting and bring copies of all applicable information and verification specified in the certification package. These documents will be used to determine eligibility to participate in the HCV program. It is necessary to verify information entered on the preliminary application such as family members, income, assets, deductions, and data related to eligibility.

Reaching the top of the wait list DOES NOT GUARANTEE ELIGIBILITY. It is only the beginning of the process to prepare individuals for possible participation in the HCV Program. The offer is subject to be withdrawn in the event that updated information results in unverifiable claims or the updated information is not within the scope for approval under the provisions of RHE's Admission and Occupancy policies .

If an applicant refuses to attend the appointment, their application may be moved to the bottom of the wait list. If he or she does not respond at all, their application will be removed from the wait list without further notice. Therefore it is important to keep RHE informed of any change in your contact information.
